01 — The idea
Angles sharpen. Curves soften.
A square or rectangular frame draws straight lines across the face and the face borrows them — the jaw reads stronger, the cheekbone more defined. That is useful, and it is also the reason nearly every large frame on the market has corners. A round one does the opposite, and there is almost nothing else that does.
02 — Design
Large, but nowhere to be crooked
There is a practical advantage to a circle that nobody mentions: it has no top edge to sit level with your brow and no corner to line up with your cheekbone. A round frame cannot look tilted, because there is no straight line in it for the eye to measure against.
Faces are not symmetrical. On an angular frame that shows. On this one it simply does not.

03 — Build
A circle has to be a circle
This is the least forgiving shape to manufacture. On a rectangle a millimetre out is a millimetre nobody sees; on a circle the eye detects the flat spot immediately, and once the two lenses are side by side any difference between them is obvious.
The lenses are polarized, so reflected flare is filtered rather than dimmed, and the UV400 block covers the full width of a large lens — which on this shape reaches well past the eye socket.

04 — Versatility
The shape that reads as confident rather than severe.
Large sunglasses usually say keep away. A round pair says something closer to unbothered — the same coverage, a completely different message to the room.
05 — Colourways
Six finishes. Same price.
Black and black gold are the two that carry the shape quietly. White and white black are the ones built for summer. Leopard and crystal grey purple are for people who already own a black pair.
06 — The value
Why this makes sense
A large round lens is the hardest and most wasteful shape to cut — more material discarded per lens than any rectangle, and no tolerance for error. It is normally reflected in the price.

Before you order
Do round frames suit a round face?
The usual advice is no, and at this scale the usual advice stops applying — an oversized circle is large enough to read as its own shape rather than as an echo of the face behind it.
How does this compare to your oversized square?
Same coverage, opposite effect. The square sharpens and the round softens. If you want the protection without the severity, this is the one.
Is the gradient lens dark enough for the beach?
At the top, yes — and on a lens this deep the dark section alone is bigger than most whole lenses. The clearing at the bottom is what lets you read a book under it.
