01 — The idea
Most people want the cat eye. Fewer want to commit to it.
A full cat eye ends in a point, and a point is a decision you make every morning. Rounding that corner into an oval keeps the upward sweep — the part that actually does something for the face — and drops the drama that makes people leave the pair at home.
02 — Design
Where the width sits
The lens is wider than it is tall and the widest point is above the centre line. That is the whole trick: it pulls the eye upward and outward without the frame ever ending in a sharp corner.
The temples are cut wide where they meet the front, which is what gives the profile its weight — the shape reads as deliberate from the side, not only head on.

03 — Build
Polarized, on a shape nobody polarizes
Fashion frames almost never carry a polarizing filter. It is treated as a sports feature — something for fishing and driving, not for a cat eye. So the shapes people actually wear every day are usually the ones with the weakest lens in them.
These carry the filter anyway. The reflected flare off a pavement or a car bonnet is removed, not just dimmed, and the full UV400 block is there on all six colourways.

Before you order
How is this different from a full cat eye?
The outer corner is rounded rather than pointed. The lift is the same; the frame is simply less insistent about it. If you want the sharper version, our pointed cat eye is the one to look at.
Solid or gradient lens?
Solid is darker throughout and better in strong sun. Gradient clears toward the bottom so your eyes stay visible and you can read a screen without lifting them.
How do I test that they are really polarized?
Look at a phone screen through them and rotate the frame. A polarized lens darkens at one angle and clears at another; a plain tint does not change.
