01 — The idea
Thin metal disappears. Thick plastic does not.
Most sunglasses announce themselves before you do. A round frame in thin wire does the opposite: there is almost no material between your face and the world, so what people register is the shape of a circle, not the weight of an accessory.
02 — Design
A circle is the hardest shape to get right
Round frames go wrong in two directions. Too small and they read as a costume; too large and they swallow the face. The diameter here sits in the middle, close to the natural width of the eye socket, which is why the shape looks considered rather than retro.
The rim is a single thin wire with no visible joins across the front, and the bridge is a straight bar rather than a curved saddle — a small decision that keeps the two circles reading as a pair.

03 — Build
Thin is only good if it holds its shape
A wire frame lives or dies on the rim. Too soft and the circle goes oval in a bag within a month; the tension in the rim is what keeps the lens seated and the two sides symmetrical.
The lenses are polarized, so the flare bouncing off a windscreen or a pavement is filtered out rather than merely dimmed — and all six carry the full UV400 filter, clear lens included.

04 — Versatility
One of the six is not a sunglass at all.
The clear-lens option gives you the same frame for a desk, a flight or an evening — the look without the tint. Everyone else buys two pairs to do that.
05 — Colourways
Six finishes. Same price.
Gold with a grey or red lens is the classic pairing. The dark frame with blue is the quieter one. The clear lens is the one you will reach for indoors.
06 — The value
Why this makes sense
A thin metal frame is more work to build than a moulded plastic one — there is no bulk to hide a bad joint behind. It is usually priced accordingly, and the polarized filter usually pushes it higher still.

Before you order
What is the Gold Optical version?
The same frame with clear lenses instead of tinted ones. It is a non-prescription lens — the frame worn for the look, indoors or after dark, with the UV filter still in place.
Do round frames suit a round face?
Less easily than angular ones, but the thin rim is what makes it work — there is little material to add width. If you want more contrast, the darker frames read sharper than the gold.
Will the thin frame bend?
Metal frames are adjustable by design, which is a feature at an optician and a risk in a bag. Use the case and they keep their set.
