A trend shape is cheap on the day you buy it and expensive two summers later, when you look at a photograph and stop wearing it. A classic rectangle has no fashionable moment to fall out of — which makes it the only frame in a range where the honest argument is about how long you will keep it.
02 — Design
Proportions, not features
There is nothing clever in this frame, and that is the design. The lens is a rectangle a little wider than it is deep, the rim is moderate, the corner is lightly rounded and the temple is straight. Every one of those decisions is the middle option.
Frames like this are judged on proportion alone, because there is no detail anywhere to argue about. Get the ratio right and it suits almost everyone; get it wrong and there is nothing to hide behind.

03 — Build
The frame you will still own in five years
If the shape is going to last, the build has to as well — otherwise the argument collapses. The parts that decide it are the hinge, which takes every opening and closing, and the tint, which is what fades first on a pair left on a dashboard.
The lenses are polarized, so reflected glare is filtered rather than dimmed, with the full UV400 block across all five colourways.

Is this the right first pair?
If you own no sunglasses, yes. Neutral proportions suit the widest range of faces, and nothing about the shape commits you to a look.
What is the difference between Black and Black Smoke?
The frame is the same. Black has a solid dark lens; black smoke is a lighter grey tint that shows more of the eye behind it.
How do I stop the tint fading?
Keep them out of a hot car. Heat on a dashboard is what ages a lens faster than sunlight ever does — the case is there for that as much as for scratches.
