01 — The idea
A coloured lens never clashes
A red frame has to agree with your coat. A red lens does not — it sits inside a neutral gold rim, facing away from everything you own. That is why a coloured lens is the safest way to wear a strong colour on your face, and why almost nobody thinks of it.
02 — Design
Scale, then lift
This is a cat eye built at oversized proportions, which is a harder combination than either on its own. The lens has to be large enough to cover, and the corner has to rise without the whole frame tipping into a wing.
The rim is thin gold metal rather than acetate, which is what keeps the size from becoming weight — and what lets the lens colour carry the entire look.

03 — Build
Strong colour is where cheap tint shows
A grey lens can be slightly uneven and nobody will ever know. A cherry or violet one cannot — any variation in density reads as a blotch, and on a graduated lens the fade has to run at the same angle on both sides or the pair looks broken.
Under the colour the lens is polarized, so reflected flare is filtered rather than dimmed, with the full UV400 block on all six.

Before you order
Does a coloured lens change what I see?
Yes, noticeably. Cherry and ruby warm the scene; violet and blue cool it. You stop registering the shift within a few minutes, but it is there.
Which colour is safest if I am unsure?
Black gold. It is the same frame with a neutral lens, so you get the shape without committing to a tint.
Is a coloured lens as protective?
Identical. The UV block is a separate layer from the tint, so a pink lens protects exactly as much as a black one.

Colours are produced once
Each lens colour is a separate tinting run. When one sells through it is replaced by a different shade rather than repeated — only black gold is held continuously.
