01 — The idea
Big, and still quiet
Scale and loudness are usually the same thing in jewellery. A polished disc this size would flash every time you turned your head. Brushing the surface takes that away and leaves only the shape — which is the entire point of these.
02 — Design
A dome, not a flat disc
The face curves outward rather than sitting flat. That curve is what keeps the earring from reading as a coin: the light gradient across it changes continuously from the centre to the edge, so the shape stays legible even in a dull room.
The brushed texture runs in fine lines across that curve. Up close it is clearly a worked surface; from a metre away it simply looks like soft silver.
At around 18 mm the disc covers most of the lobe, which is why the fitting is a plain post — anything decorative behind it would never be seen.

Will silver tarnish?
Sterling darkens slowly in air — that is a property of the metal, not a fault. A soft cloth brings it back. Avoid silver polish on a brushed finish, as it flattens the texture.
Are they heavy?
No. The dome is formed rather than solid, so the weight sits at around 3 g per earring despite the size. They are comfortable for a full day.
Are they round or oval?
The face is a soft circular dome. The listing name refers to the rounded profile rather than to a stretched oval outline.
Is the diameter exact?
