01 — The idea
The gathering is the structure
Most bags get their shape from a frame or a stiffened panel. This one gets it from the material being drawn in — the body is gathered along the top and the handle is gathered along its whole length, so the folds themselves hold the crescent open.
02 — Design
Folds instead of fittings
The panel is gathered along the top seam so the pleats fan out across the front and pull back in at the base. Because every bag is gathered by hand, the fold pattern is never identical twice.
The handle is ruched the same way, which makes it soft in the hand rather than a flat strap pressing into a shoulder — and it loops in an arc that closes against the body of the bag.
There is no metal on the exterior at all — the closure is a concealed magnet. On black that omission is the whole look: with no gold or silver anywhere, the bag reads as one uninterrupted piece.

Can it be worn crossbody?
No. The handle is fixed at a 13 cm drop and does not detach or extend, and no shoulder strap is supplied. This is a shoulder and under-the-arm bag.
How much does it hold?
A phone, a card holder, keys and a lipstick. It is one open compartment with a single pocket, 24.5 cm wide but only 6 cm deep — the gathering gives it a little more give than the measurements suggest.
Does black hide the pleating?
No — it changes it. The colour flattens the fold pattern into shadow rather than texture, so the bag reads as a shape first and you notice the gathering when the light moves across it.
Is this real leather?
