A tote that is not a rectangle
The sides of this bag fold outwards into wings rather than running straight down, so the base is wide, the opening is narrow and the outline is a shape instead of a bag-sized box. It is what turns a practical size into something you would carry for the look of it.

Suede does the work

Suede also has to be cut with the nap running the same direction on every panel, or the colour changes from one side of the bag to the other. That is material wasted for the sake of looking right.

Is there a shoulder strap?
No. This bag has twin handles only, with a 20 cm drop, which is long enough to sit on the shoulder. No detachable strap is supplied.
Is this real suede?
No. The maker lists faux suede for the exterior and polyester for the lining. Faux suede is a synthetic material made to mimic the nap of suede, not an animal product.
Will my laptop or tablet fit?
A 12.9-inch iPad Pro fits, as stated by the maker. A 13-inch laptop is a similar footprint but thicker, so it will go in but will take most of the 13.5 cm depth.
How do I look after suede?
Keep it dry and brush the nap back in one direction if it flattens. Faux suede marks less readily than the real thing, but water spots on both should be left to dry before being touched.
