01 — The idea
A pale bag shows the pattern-cutting
The sides of this tote fold outwards into wings, so the base is wide and the opening narrow. In black that shape is a silhouette; in a light latte the folds catch and lose the light across the whole panel, and you can actually see how the bag is made.

A mid-tone with nowhere to hide

Is there a shoulder strap?
No. This bag has twin handles only, with a 20 cm drop, which is long enough to sit on the shoulder. No detachable strap is supplied.
Is this real leather?
No. The maker lists vegan leather for the exterior and polyester for the lining. Vegan leather is a synthetic material used in place of animal hide.
Will my laptop or tablet fit?
A 12.9-inch iPad Pro fits, as stated by the maker. A 13-inch laptop is a similar footprint but thicker, so it will go in but will take most of the 13.5 cm depth.
Will a tan bag mark?
A mid-tone is far more forgiving than a cream one, but dark denim can still transfer onto a smooth pale surface. Wipe anything off with a damp cloth before it settles rather than leaving it.
