A blue that behaves like a grey
Steel blue has enough grey in it to sit quietly and enough blue to be a colour when you look twice. On a shape whose only feature is a curved base, that is exactly the right amount of interest — the outline stays the point.

Made from bottles
The maker states that the exterior is a vegan leather made with recycled plastic bottles. It behaves like any coated synthetic — smooth, wipeable, and matt rather than glossy — with the difference that the base material was waste before it was a bag.

Is any of this animal leather?
No. The maker describes the bag as animal-free and lists vegan leather made with recycled plastic bottles for the exterior and vegan leather for the lining. A stray line in the supplier's own data sheet says "calfskin"; that is an error in their template, not a material in this bag.
Can the strap be removed?
No. It is fixed to the bag, but it adjusts across a very wide range — 28.5 cm of drop up to 57 cm — which covers both shoulder and crossbody.
How blue is it?
Muted rather than bright — a steel blue with grey behind it, closer to a worn denim than to navy or to cobalt. Expect it to read as a soft neutral at a distance.
How much does it hold?
