01 — The idea
Sunglasses are sold for one kind of weather
Every range is built for bright sun, because that is when people buy. But most of the year is not bright sun — it is overcast, hazy, late afternoon, or a grey morning where everything flattens out and edges become hard to read. There is a lens for that, and it is almost never on the shelf.
02 — Design
Rimless, so the tint is the whole product
There is no frame to look at. The only hardware is a thin gold-tone temple running back from each lens, which means the colour you choose is not a detail on the product — it is the product.
Seven of them, running from a conventional black through brown, two blues, purple and red, to the yellow.
The lens itself is a softly rounded shape with no corners to catch.
03 — Build
Why yellow works when black does not
Flat light is mostly blue. A yellow lens removes that blue, and what is left has more separation between light and dark — which is why the world looks sharper through one on an overcast day, not darker.
It is the standard lens for shooting, cycling at dusk and skiing in cloud, and it is genuinely useless in strong midday sun. Take black or brown for that. All seven carry the same polarizing filter and UV400 block.

Before you order
Can I wear the yellow lens in bright sun?
You can, but it will not help — it is a contrast lens, not a dark one. For midday glare take black or brown; keep the yellow for grey days and late light.
Do the pale tints still protect my eyes?
Yes. The UV filter is a separate layer from the tint, so the yellow and light blue block exactly as much ultraviolet as the black.
Are these fragile, being rimless?
More vulnerable than a framed pair. This lens is rounded with no sharp corner, which makes it the sturdiest of our three rimless shapes — but the case still matters.
