Nobody tells you how big sunglasses actually are
Every listing says oversized, and every one means something different. A photograph on a white background has no scale at all, and the model wearing them in the second image has a face you have never measured. The only way to know is a number — and this is one of the few pairs we can give you one for.
02 — Design
What 55 mm looks like on a face
For reference: a standard adult frame runs around 50 mm of lens width, so 55 mm is genuinely larger without being theatrical. Across the whole frame, 15 cm sits at the wide end of ordinary — enough to reach past the outer corner of most faces.
Take a ruler to the pair you wear now. If they measure 50 mm or less, these will be noticeably bigger; if they are already 54 or 55, this will feel familiar.
The shape is a clean square with a lightly softened corner and a graduated lens.

Coverage is the reason to go large
A wider lens does one thing a small one cannot: it shades the skin at the outer corner of the eye, which is thin, permanently exposed and the first area on a face to show sun damage. Everything else about frame size is taste.
The lenses are polarized, so reflected flare is filtered rather than dimmed, with the full UV400 block across all four colourways.

How do I measure my current pair?
Lens width is the widest point of one lens, measured horizontally. Frame width is the full span from one outer edge to the other. Both take a ruler and ten seconds.
Is 55 mm too big for a small face?
It is at the larger end. If your current frames measure under 50 mm and you like how they sit, this will be a noticeable step up — which may be exactly what you want, or not.
What is the difference between Black and Black I?
Two dark finishes on the same frame. Compare the two photographs in the colour grid — the difference is in the lens depth rather than the shape.
