No. They sit in a shallow chamber above the dial and below the hands' path, so they never interfere with reading the time.
Can the stones escape?
The chamber is sealed. The same seal is what gives the watch its 3 ATM rating.
Is the beaded bracelet comfortable?
Rounded beads have no flat edges to press into the wrist, so most people find it more comfortable than a link bracelet of the same weight.
