Every listing gives you diameter. None gives you thickness.
Width is what a watch looks like in a photograph, so that is the number everyone publishes. Thickness is what it feels like on a wrist for fourteen hours, under a sleeve, against a desk — and it is the dimension that decides whether you keep wearing it.
02 — Design
Thin is a series of decisions
A slim case is not one change. The crystal has to sit almost flush rather than domed, the case back has to be flat instead of curved, and the bracelet has to taper so it does not look heavier than the watch it is attached to.
Get any one of them wrong and the profile thickens again. That is why slim watches are rarer than they sound — it is easier to add a millimetre everywhere than to hold the line.

03 — Build
A thin case has less to protect the movement
There is no free lunch. A thicker case absorbs a knock in the material around the movement; a slim one has less of that material to work with, which means the crystal and the case back carry more of the job.
It is the reason the crystal on a slim watch matters more than on a chunky one — it is closer to the works, and closer to whatever you catch it on.

Before you order
Is a slim watch less durable?
There is less case material around the movement, so it is worth taking off before anything heavy-handed. For ordinary daily wear the difference is not one you will notice.
Can the bracelet be shortened?
Yes — it is a link bracelet, so a jeweller can remove links in a couple of minutes. Most people never need to.
Can I wear it in the shower?
It carries a 3 ATM rating, so splashes, rain and washing your hands are not a problem. We do not recommend swimming or hot showers with it on.
