01 — The idea
A weave is what saves a pale shade
Almond on a flat panel is a blank. Woven, the same shade sets a shadow line at every crossing, so the bag has depth before it has colour — which is why a pale weave holds attention where a pale smooth bag simply sits there.
02 — Design
Wide bands, and a rope in metal
The body is built from wide woven bands rather than the thin strips used on most basket weaves. Fewer, broader pieces means the pattern stays legible on a bag this size instead of turning into texture you have to be close to read.
The handle is a rigid twisted rope cast in gold-tone metal, fixed through rings at both sides. It does not fold flat, and it is what gives the bag its outline when it sits on a table.
Gold is the right metal for this shade. It sits so close to almond in tone that the handle reads as part of the bag rather than as a fitting bolted onto it — a cool metal would have cut straight across the warmth.

Almond is the pale that is not a cream.
It has enough warmth in it to sit with camel, chocolate and khaki, and enough lightness to lift black and navy. That is a wider range than a true cream manages — and it is far more forgiving to keep clean than an off-white.

Will a pale weave mark?
A coated surface wipes clean far more readily than a napped one, so a damp cloth handles most of it. Watch for transfer from dark denim into the strips and deal with it before it settles.
How much does it hold?
The maker states an iPhone 15 Pro Max fits. At 24 × 18 × 9 cm the depth helps: a phone, a card holder, keys and a compact sit in it without the sides bulging. It is not a bag for a water bottle.
Does it close?
Yes. A zip runs along the top underneath the handle — it is visible in the interior photograph, set into the weave rather than added on a separate panel.
Is this real leather?
No. The maker lists vegan leather for the weave and polyester for the lining. Vegan leather is a synthetic material used in place of animal hide.
