People see you from the side far more than from the front
Sit at a table, walk down a street, appear in someone else's photograph — most of the time your face is at an angle. Which makes the temple, not the front, the part of a pair of sunglasses that is actually on display. On a rimless frame it is also the only part there is.
02 — Design
Everything moved to the arm
There is no rim, no bridge bar and no brow line. All of the decoration that would normally sit across the front has been moved to the temple, where it runs as a linked chain from the lens back towards the ear.
The effect from the front is a pair of tinted panes that seem to float. The effect in profile is jewellery.

03 — Build
A worked temple is a weight problem
Decoration on a temple adds mass at the worst possible place — the far end of a lever resting on your ear. It is why most ornate frames feel heavier than they look and start to ache by mid afternoon.
A rimless construction is what makes this one work: there is no frame material anywhere else, so the budget for weight is spent entirely on the part you can see. The lenses carry the full UV400 block across all eight colourways.

Before you order
What is the Transparent option?
A clear, non-prescription lens instead of a tinted one — the same frame and the same chain temple, wearable indoors or after dark. It is not a sun lens.
Does the chain catch in hair?
The links are closed and set flush along the arm rather than hanging, so there is nothing to snag. Sliding them up into your hair is the one thing worth doing slowly.
How does this compare to your other rimless cat eye?
That one is plain, with the corner cut into the lens and a thin temple. This one puts the whole design into the arm. Same construction, opposite priority.
