01 — The idea
Pick up two watches and you will know which one cost more
Before you look at the dial, before you read a specification, your hand has already told you. A hollow case with a thin plated shell feels like an empty tin; solid steel has a density to it that is impossible to imitate and impossible to describe in a photograph. Which is why weight is almost never published.
02 — Design
A wide engraved ring, and a quiet centre
The bezel is a broad flat ring with lettering cut into it, which is what gives the watch its scale — at 4.0 cm the dial itself is generous, but the ring around it is what makes the piece read as large from across a room.
Inside it the dial is almost bare: a small crown motif, two hands and nothing else. The contrast between a busy ring and an empty centre is the whole composition.

03 — Build
Stainless steel, and what that means in practice
It does not discolour. That is the single practical difference between steel and a plated base metal: plating wears through at the clasp and the case back within a year of daily contact with skin, and once it goes there is no fixing it.
Steel is heavier and more expensive to machine, which is exactly why lighter watches exist at lower prices. The 103 g is the cost of the material showing up on a scale.

Is 103 g heavy on a small wrist?
It is a substantial watch and you will notice it for the first day. If you prefer something you forget you are wearing, our slim link and silicone models are a fraction of this weight.
How big is 4.0 cm on a wrist?
Larger than a typical women's watch, which runs closer to 3.0 to 3.5 cm. Measure the dial of a watch you already own to compare before ordering.
Can I wear it in the shower?
It carries a 3 ATM rating, so splashes, rain and washing your hands are not a problem. We do not recommend swimming or hot showers with it on.
