01 — The idea
A pale bag with nothing on it

Is this real leather?
No. The maker lists vegan leather for the exterior and polyester for the lining. Vegan leather is a synthetic material used in place of animal hide.
Can it be carried by the handle?
Only briefly. The handle drop is 3 cm, enough to lift the bag from a table but not to clear a hand comfortably. The 49 to 56 cm strap is how this bag is meant to be worn.
Will a pale bag mark?
A smooth pale surface shows a transfer from dark denim sooner than a dark one would, so wipe anything off with a damp cloth before it settles. Almond is a warm mid-pale rather than a cream, which makes it more forgiving than an off-white.
