01 — The idea
Sunglasses live in photographs
Holidays, terraces, festivals, the walk to the beach — the hours you spend wearing sunglasses are the same hours somebody is holding up a phone. Which means a frame is not only chosen for a mirror. It is chosen for a camera, and a camera reads horizontals first.
02 — Design
The flat top does the work
The upper edge of this frame is a single straight line running across both lenses. Held against the brow it gives the face a horizontal to be measured against, and everything below it reads as level — which is the entire reason photographers have liked this shape for fifty years.
Under that line the lens is a plain rectangle with a light curve at the outer edge, so the frame keeps its structure without turning into a shield.

03 — Build
A straight line shows every error
A curve hides a lot. A straight edge running the full width of a frame hides nothing — if the two lenses sit at slightly different heights, or the bridge is a fraction off centre, the top line breaks and you see it instantly in any photograph.
The lenses are polarized, so reflected flare off water or a wet terrace is filtered rather than dimmed, with the full UV400 block across every colourway.

What is the Black Clear Lenses option?
The same frame supplied with clear, non-prescription lenses instead of tinted ones — for wearing indoors or after dark. It is not a sun lens.
Does a flat top suit a low brow?
It is the shape most likely to sit against the brow rather than below it. If your frames usually touch your eyebrows, look at the round or oval shapes instead.
How does this differ from your narrow rectangle?
This one is deeper and heavier with a continuous straight upper rim. The narrow two-tone version is slimmer and sits closer to the face.
