01 — The idea
Almost every dial you have ever seen was printed flat
It is the cheapest way to decorate a watch: lay the pattern onto a flat disc and seal it under glass. It also means the dial looks identical under every light, from every angle, forever. A formed dial has depth in it, and depth is the one thing a photograph of a flat surface can never fake.
02 — Design
A centre, and a ring around it
The medallion sits proud of the dial surface, and the ring surrounding it is coined — cut with fine radial lines that catch light at a different angle to the centre. Two surfaces, two reflections, one dial.
The hands are kept thin and plain on purpose. On a dial with this much relief, decorated hands would compete with it and both would lose.

03 — Build
Relief needs clearance
The moment a dial stops being flat, the crystal has to sit higher to clear it, and the case has to be deeper to hold the crystal. A raised dial is not a decoration added at the end — it changes the whole case.
That extra depth is also why the crystal matters here. It sits closer to the world than on a flat-dial watch, so it is scratch-resistant by necessity rather than as a bullet point.

Before you order
Can I wear it in the shower?
No — and less than usual, because of the strap. Leather and water do not mix, whatever the case is rated to. At 3 ATM the watch handles splashes and rain; keep the strap dry.
Is the dial hard to read?
A raised centre takes up dial space, so there is less room for markers. You read it by hand position rather than by numeral — which is how most people read a watch anyway.
Do I need a wrist size?
No. The strap is 23 cm with multiple holes, so it adjusts across a wide range.
