Nobody wears a silver watch with gold earrings. Yet the same people will put a gold frame on their face above a wrist full of silver and never notice why the whole thing looks slightly off. A metal frame is jewellery — the largest piece you own, worn closest to your eyes.

Gold on four, dark on two
Four of the six colourways are built on a gold-tone rim, and two on a dark one. That is the first decision, and it matters more than the lens: the frame metal is what sits in the same photograph as your rings, your watch and your earrings.
If you wear warm metals, take a gold option. If everything you own is silver or steel, the black and black blue versions are the ones that will not fight it.

03 — Build
Where a gold finish gives up
A gold-tone frame is a plated one, and plating wears at the two points where skin touches metal all day: the bridge pads and the inside of the temple behind the ear. That is where a cheap finish turns silver within a season, and it is the first thing to check on any metal frame you own.
The lenses are polarized, so reflected glare is filtered rather than dimmed, with the full UV400 block across all six — the clear-lens option included.

Before you order
Gold or dark frame?
Look at your hands. If your rings and watch are gold or rose gold, take a gold option. If they are silver, steel or white gold, the black versions will sit better with them.
How do I stop the plating wearing?
Rinse the bridge and temple ends with water now and then. Skin oils and sunscreen are what lift a plated finish, far more than ordinary wear.
How is this different from your other round metal frame?
That one is built around a thinner wire rim with a straight bridge bar. This one is a slightly heavier round with the gradient lens as the point of it.

Four of the six are gold and they sell at roughly twice the rate of the two dark options. Gold black is the one we most often cannot restock.
