01 — The idea
Gloss is what makes plastic look like plastic
A shiny surface throws back a hard white highlight, and the eye reads that highlight as cheap before it reads the colour underneath. Take the shine away and the same material reads as matte rubber or even as fabric. It is the single decision that separates a watch you wear to the gym from one you wear everywhere.
02 — Design
Ten colours, chosen as a set
Look at the range and you will notice there are no primaries shouting at each other. Olive green, taupe, mint, light blue and light pink are muted; black, white, red, royal blue and cyan cover everything else. It is a wardrobe palette rather than a paint chart.
The dial is deliberately plain so the strap carries the colour. On a watch where the strap is most of what you see, a busy dial would only fight it.

03 — Build
Matte is harder to keep than gloss
A glossy strap hides marks under its own reflection. A matte one shows every one of them, which is why most manufacturers avoid it — the finish has to be even across the whole strap or the flaw is obvious in daylight.
The trade for the buyer is honest: matte looks better and shows dirt sooner. Warm water and soap puts it back.

Before you order
How is this different from your translucent silicone watch?
Same idea, opposite finish. That one is see-through and glossy and the colour is the point; this one is matte and muted and meant to go unnoticed.
Do the light colours stain?
Matte silicone picks up denim dye and cosmetics more readily than a glossy surface. Warm water and soap clears most of it — worth knowing before choosing white or mint.
Can I wear it in the shower?
It carries a 3 ATM rating, so splashes, rain and washing your hands are not a problem. We do not recommend swimming or hot showers with it on.
