01 — The idea
An all-over crystal surface has to be set, not applied
Glued crystals sit on top of the leather and come off in the places a bag is handled — corners first, then anywhere it is gripped. Set stones sit down into the surface, each one held rather than stuck, so the field stays continuous. On a bag this small the difference shows within the first month, because there is nowhere on it that does not get touched.
02 — Design
Why the crystals are dark
Clear stones on a black bag produce hard white points of light — the surface reads as scattered highlights rather than as a material. Smoked crystals in the same tone as the leather do something quieter: at rest the bag looks like a deep textured black, and the sparkle only appears as the light moves across it.
That is what lets a fully embellished bag work outside an evening. It is a texture in daylight and a light source under a lamp, without changing anything about it.

03 — Build
A rigid handle on a low, wide body
Twenty-two centimetres across and twelve tall gives very little to grip, which is why the handle matters here more than on a taller bag — it is the only way to lift this shape in one motion. It is set into reinforced tabs that carry the load down into the side panels rather than pulling on the top edge alone.
The handle is also left plain. A crystal-covered body with a smooth leather handle gives the hand somewhere comfortable to hold, which a fully embellished one would not.

04 — Versatility
An embellished bag that is not only for one night
Because the stones are dark and the shape is a plain rectangle, it does not announce itself the way a bright crystal bag does. Against a black coat in daylight it reads as texture; in the evening it is the only thing in the room doing what it does. Same bag, no decision required.
05 — What fits
Twenty-two by twelve by eight
A large phone lies flat along the length, with a card case, keys and a lipstick beside it. Eight centimetres of depth on a bag this low is what makes that possible — the same footprint at 4 cm would take the phone and nothing else.
The height is the limit rather than the width. Anything tall stands proud of the opening and stops the flap closing flat.

Covering a curved, structured shell in set crystals is hours of work per bag, and it cannot be rushed — the field has to follow the curve of the panels without gaps opening at the corners. Before you order
Will crystals come loose?
They are set into the surface rather than glued on, which is what keeps the field intact where the bag is handled. Avoid dragging it against rough surfaces and against hook-and-loop fastenings.
How do I clean it?
A dry soft brush across the crystals, in one direction. Nothing damp on the embellished panels — moisture works down between the stones instead of lifting off them.
Is it too much for daytime?
The stones are dark and the shape is plain, so at rest it reads as a textured black bag. It is considerably more wearable in daylight than a clear-crystal bag would be.
