01 — The idea
On this shape, the handles are the design
Two arches rising from the top corners, holding their curve without support. It is a small detail with a large consequence: a handle that keeps its arch frames the bag and gives it a line; one made of soft leather over a thin core sags in the middle, and the whole silhouette goes with it. This is the part of the bag that ages visibly, and the part most worth looking at closely before buying.
02 — Design
How an arch is made to hold
A handle that keeps its shape is built around a core — a firm strip wrapped in leather and finished at the edges. The core has to be stiff enough to resist bending and flexible enough not to crack where it meets the mounting points, which is the balance that decides whether it is still arched in year three.
The mounts sit at the top corners rather than in from the edge. That places the load where the panels are strongest and keeps the opening square when the bag is lifted.

03 — Build
White is the version with nothing to hide behind
Every edge on this bag is visible against a white ground: the handle wrapping, the seam where the gusset meets the front, the line where the quilting reaches the perimeter. On a black bag half of that disappears. Here it is all on show at close range, which is where a bag this size is always seen.
Inside, a soft lining and one compartment. At 7 cm of depth there is no room for dividers, and anything added would come out of what the bag is for.

White is the evening version of this bag
Against black, navy or a dark suit it does what no other colour in the range does — it separates completely from the outfit and becomes the thing being looked at. In daylight against denim and cream it is softer, but it is never invisible. That is the trade, and it is worth making deliberately.

Before you order
Will the handles soften over time?
The leather will soften where it is held, which is normal and looks right. The arch itself is held by a core inside the handle rather than by the leather, so the shape does not drop.
How do I keep a white bag white?
Dry soft cloth, and keep it away from dark denim — dye transfer is what ages a pale bag, not wear. Deal with it the same day and it lifts; leave it and it does not.
Is the strap included?
Yes, along with the charms. It is removable and adjusts to around 105 cm, which is a full crossbody length.

There is no colour that shows a natural marking more, so the panels and both handles have to come from an unmarked section of the same hide. Very little of each skin qualifies.
