01 — The idea
Most leather is sealed so it can never change
A pigmented, coated finish keeps a bag looking exactly as it did in the photograph — until the coating cracks, and then it looks worn out rather than worn in. The handle and trim here are the opposite: natural leather, left pale and untreated, which means they will take on colour from your hands, from light and from use. It will not stay this shade. It is not supposed to.
02 — Design
Gathered at both ends, so it curves
The crescent is not cut into the panels — it is made by gathering the denim tightly at each end and letting it fall full through the middle. That is why the body swells outward when the bag is full and flattens when it is empty, instead of holding one rigid outline.
The pattern is woven into the denim rather than printed on top of it, which is why it reads pale blue on blue and why it cannot rub off at the fold lines.

The handle comes off
It clips at both ends rather than being stitched in. That matters more on this bag than on most, because the handle is the part that will change colour — and the part that takes the wear. Being able to unclip it means it can be cleaned, conditioned, or one day replaced without the bag being finished.

04 — Versatility
A small bag that sits where your arm already is
The crescent exists for one reason: it follows the line of the body under the arm instead of hanging away from it. At 21 centimetres across, tucked into the elbow, it is the shape you stop noticing you are carrying — which is the whole argument for a bag this size.
05 — How it ages
What will actually happen to it
The leather starts pale, almost cream. Over the first months it goes honey, then amber, and it does so unevenly — fastest where your hand holds it, slowest underneath. Sunlight speeds it up everywhere at once, which is worth knowing if you want the change to come from use rather than from a windowsill.
Natural leather also marks easily while it is still pale. Water leaves rings, and ink does not come out. Most people find the first mark is the hard one and after that the whole surface has evened into something darker that no longer shows them. If you would rather it never changed, this is the wrong bag, and that is a fair reason not to buy it.
06 — The value
Why this makes sense
Uncoated leather is the harder choice to sell. It cannot be photographed in its final state, it arrives at its palest and least impressive, and it takes a customer who has been told what to expect. Coating it would be cheaper and would look better in month one.

08 — Questions
Before you order
Will it go over my shoulder?
Only just, and not over a coat. The drop is about 15 cm, which puts it in the hand or in the crook of the arm. If you need a shoulder or crossbody bag, choose a different one — we would rather say so now.
Can I stop the leather darkening?
Not really, and trying tends to make it patchy. Keeping it out of direct sun slows it down and keeps the change even, which is the most you can usefully do.
Is the denim stiff?
No — it is gathered rather than structured, so the body is soft and moves. It will not stand up on its own, and the shape comes back as soon as you pick it up.
