01 — The idea
Most sets exist because one half would not sell alone
A good bag is packaged with a token accessory and the price is quietly the same. The test is simple: read the specification of the lesser half. If it lists a heel height, a sole material and a size range, it was made to be worn. If it lists a colour and nothing else, it was made to be photographed next to the bag. Both halves are below, in full, and you can apply that test yourself.
02 — The bag
Four hundred grams, on a chain
Weight matters more on a chain strap than on any other kind. A narrow metal band concentrates the whole load into a few millimetres on the shoulder, so every hundred grams is felt. At 0.4 kg empty this is light for a 32 cm quilted bag, and that is the difference between wearing it all evening and taking it off.
Quilted lamb leather, which is the softest and lightest of the quilting leathers. The chain is a double strand and adjusts between 26 and 48 centimetres of wear height — doubled at the shoulder, full length across the body.

03 — The sandals
Eleven centimetres, on a metal heel
A metal heel at this height is a structural choice rather than a decorative one: it is narrower than a covered heel of the same strength, which is the only way an 11 cm heel stays slim without flexing under weight.
The sole is leather. It is not the practical option — it marks, and it needs a few wears to stop being slippery — but it moulds to the foot in a way a rubber sole never does, and it can be resoled rather than replaced.

04 — Together
Quilted matt against patent gloss
Both pieces are black, and that is the point of pairing them rather than a difficulty. The bag is soft, padded and matt; the sandals are hard, lacquered and reflective. Worn together the two finishes read as deliberate, which is exactly what an all-black outfit usually lacks.
05 — Sizing
The half of this set you can get wrong
The bag fits everyone. The sandals run from 35 to 42, and you choose the size above before adding the set to your bag — which means the decision has to be made at the point of purchase rather than sorted out afterwards.
Two things worth knowing before you choose. An open-toe sandal is less forgiving than a closed shoe at the length, because the toes sit at the edge rather than inside. And an ankle strap that adjusts covers a range of widths, so a snug fit across the foot is normal and correct rather than a sign of the wrong size.
06 — The value
Why this makes sense
Two pieces made properly cost more than two pieces where one is filler. A quilted lambskin bag with an adjustable double chain, and a leather-soled sandal on a metal heel, are each a full product — there is no half here carrying the other.

Before you order
Can I buy the bag without the sandals?
Not on this listing — it is sold as a set, which is what the price reflects. The size selector above applies to the sandals; the bag is one size and is included either way.
Is a leather sole a problem?
It is slippery for the first few wears and it marks on rough ground — both normal. In exchange it moulds to your foot and can be resoled instead of the shoe being replaced. If you want something for wet pavements, this is not it.
How is the chain worn short?
It doubles over on itself rather than sliding through a buckle. Doubled gives about 26 cm of wear height at the shoulder; full length gives 48 cm across the body.
