01 — The idea
Small bags usually cheat on structure
It is the invisible economy: soften the panels, skip the reinforcement, and the bag still photographs well because there is always something inside it in the picture. You find out at home, when you empty it and the whole front folds inward. A structured body costs more to build and is the entire difference between a bag that looks composed on a table and one that looks like laundry.
02 — Design
Curves where most bags put corners
The base is rounded rather than squared, and the flap follows the same curve down over the front instead of cutting across it in a straight line. That single decision is why a bag of these proportions reads as soft while still being rigid — the silhouette is gentle, the construction underneath it is not.
The leather is smooth and closely finished, so the surface catches light in one continuous sweep along the curve rather than breaking it up. Gold-tone hardware throughout, kept to the clasp, the strap buckle and the handle fittings.
The back panel is left completely plain — no pocket, no seam, no fitting.
03 — Build
An adjustable strap, not a fixed drop
The shoulder strap runs through a squared buckle rather than a slider, which means you set the length once by the hole that fits you and it stays there — no creeping longer over an afternoon of walking, which is what sliders do under weight.
It unbuckles completely. The top handle does not, and that is the point: even in its smallest form the bag has something to pick it up by, which is exactly what a strapless bag usually lacks.

At its longest the strap sits the bag across the body and leaves both hands free. Shortened, it drops to the shoulder. Off, what remains is a compact top-handle bag small enough for an evening and structured enough not to look like an afterthought on a table.

At roughly 21.5 by 12 centimetres this is a phone, a card holder, a key and a lipstick — comfortably, not crammed. We would rather say that plainly than describe it as roomy and let you discover otherwise. If you carry a water bottle and a notebook, this is the second bag, not the only one.

Why is the depth not stated exactly?
Because the figure we were given does not match what the photographs show, and we would rather leave a number off than print one we do not trust. The side view on this page is an accurate guide to the profile until we have measured it ourselves.
Can it be worn crossbody?
Yes — the strap is long enough at its last hole to sit across the body, and shortens through the buckle for the shoulder. Because it adjusts by holes rather than a slider, the length you set is the length it stays.
How do I keep the smooth leather looking new?
A dry soft cloth after wear, and store it with something soft inside so the structured front keeps its shape. Smooth finishes show marks more readily than grained ones, which is the trade for how the light runs across the curve.
