01 — The idea
One colour, top to bottom
Most watches break the wrist into parts — dial here, case there, band in a different tone again. Run one colour through all three and the piece stops being an assembly and becomes a single object.
02 — Design
The sunburst is doing the work
A gold dial in a gold case could easily disappear into itself. What stops that is the brushing: fine rays run outward from the centre, so the face catches light at a different angle to the polished case around it.
Slim applied batons mark the hours and a date window sits at three, cut into the dial rather than printed over it.
At 4.0 cm this is one of the largest faces we carry — a full-size piece rather than a small dress watch.
03 — Build
Plating that has to match
Running one tone across a dial, a case and a woven band means three different surfaces have to come out of plating at exactly the same colour. Get it slightly wrong and the band reads greenish against the case. That consistency is the hard part of an all-gold watch.

Is 4.0 cm too large?
It is a full-size face and reads as unisex. The case is slim, so it wears flatter than the diameter suggests — but if you want something discreet, our 2.6 cm and 3.0 cm models suit better.
Will the gold plating wear off?
Plating is a surface and wears with time on any watch. Over a steel body it goes evenly rather than lifting at the edges. Keep it away from perfume and cleaning products and it holds far longer.
Can I shower or swim in it?
No. Three bar covers rain, splashes and hand-washing. Heat and pressure are what get past a seal.
